Sustainable Aquaculture
Our approach to aquaculture prioritizes environmental stewardship. We use innovative, eco-friendly farming techniques to raise our Pangasius in a way that minimizes impact on natural water sources. By maintaining strict water quality controls and reducing waste, we ensure that our farming practices support the health of local waterways and the surrounding ecosystem.
Responsible Sourcing
At Vinh Hoan, our focus is on quality. As such, we have our own pangasius farms supplying 60-70% of our raw materials and employ sustainable and responsible farming practices. This allows us to maintain and monitor the health and wellbeing of the pangasius throughout the farming process. In addition to our own farms, Vinh Hoan only sources pangasius from certified farmers, ensuring that our pangasius raw material meets the quality and freshness standards before being processed. Our partnerships with organizations like the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) help us uphold the highest standards of sustainability and traceability.
Circular Economic Model
Vinh Hoan’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond its farming practices and includes the implementation of a circular economic model in its operations. This approach aims to minimize waste and maximize the efficient use of resources throughout the production cycle. By recycling and repurposing byproducts generated during the processing of pangasius, Vinh Hoan reduces the environmental impact of its activities. For example, the company utilizes fish fillet by-products to produce valuable co-products, such as collagen, gelatin, fish oil and fish meal, which can be used as animal feed. This circular approach not only reduces waste but also contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly production process, minimizing the company’s overall ecological footprint.
