Onigiri Rice Balls set, a newly introduced product from Vinh Hoan, has been named a finalist in the Seafood Excellence Global Awards competition.
The Pangasius Onigiri Rice Balls set was chosen out of hundreds of products for the final round of the competition. The winners will be announced on 26 April, 2018 at the Seafood Expo Global 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.
The company’s Onigiri Rice Ball set is comprised of three 50-gram triangle rice balls filled with pangasius grilled in golden kabayaki sauce. The rice balls come in three styles, offering a blend of traditional and modern onigiri, combining fragrant Japanese rice and savory Vietnamese pangasius in kabayaki sauce, balanced with nutritious seeds and vegetables.
The first onigiri ball is traditional-style with sprinkles of roasted black sesame seeds. A bite gives off a smoky yet sweet flavour with a surprise pop of crunch. The second one is done in a modern style, with rice infused in spinach essence formed into onigiri, with bits of steamed French beans for a refreshing green presentation and balanced taste. The third onigiri rice ball is cooked with carrots in a modern style, giving it a vibrant salmon-pink color and healthy taste.
